Anne Tolley has announced that she is reversing her position on the funding cuts for physical therapy for the most disabled kids in our schools.
But not for kids who start school from today, or for kids already eligible who change schools.
What that means is that instead of all closing at the end of the year – with a massive political fuss, the units based on this $2.5m/year of funding will close one at a time over the next 3 or 4 years.
I’m glad for the students who currently receive the funding, but isn’t she violating some kind of human rights law about education by making it so hard on the future students?
It definatly seems like a cowerdly attempt to introduce the same policy without the media attention.
People need consistency. Tolley what?
Is she gonna take $35 million away from private schools now?
I’d choose cynical and manipulative.
I am surprised she buckled at all.
Almost like someone has overruled her. Guess who?
