Red Alert

Dunedin shares its voice

(Apologies for posting under David Clark’s name. He started it and I finished it)

Great to see Dunedin residents out in force yesterday at the keep our assets march to the Octagon. ODT estimates between 1000 & 2000 hit the streets.

Powerful speeches from Labour MPs Davids Parker and Clark. The Greens, the NZ Nurses Organisation, the CTU, Otago Polytechnic  and Grey Power also spoke. The crowd was a mixture or young and old and people from all works of life.

John Key’s mandate to sell Kiwi assets was challenged by all those at the rally, which included people who had voted National at the last election.

It was interesting to note that John Armstrong referred yesterday in his NZ Herald column to the Key-led National minority government. His hubris over his so-called huge majority at the election continues to backfire. John Key’s chickens are coming home.
