  1. Ianmac says:

Mr Key and Mr English seriously intone, “Cut back. Cut back. Cut back. It is so obvious that to develop, you peasants must make do with less. Cut back. Cut……”

  2. OneTrack says:

Why shouldn’t we just keep spending money? Just borrow some more and leave it to the kids to pay the bill. And why shouldn’t the Germans keep paying out so the Greeks can just keep doing what they are doing? They are just being mean.

  3. Tim G says:

That’s right OneTrack, your government only borrows when it is to pay for tax cuts for the rich.

  4. Inverness says:

A pity Darien , that any comment you make about the budget will likely get hidden behind articles about the ignorance , stupidity and disrespect for the law , by Mallard and Little.
It must be frustrating for Shearer who was elected because he’s a nice down to earth bloke , to have to put up with Thuggish and childish behavior from MPs who should know better.

Man up Trevor and Andrew , if your case is strong , prove it in court

  5. richie says:

National will/are try and fudge the spending cut as fair as they effect everybody.

This budget will do nothing but increase inequality and dig the poverty trap deeper with less investment in health and education.

Their spin about cuts being reinvested is a lie, inflation isn’t accounted for a start; neither is the fees of all the consultants and cronies national seem to be paying off at the moment.

  6. Tim G. says:

I love how you try to spin stuff, Inverness. Little makes a comment about service agents being “thuggish” type characters, and suddenly he’s the “thuggish” one. Check you dictionary again, because trying to avoid litigation and confrontation does not equal thuggish.

    Let’s discuss:

I’d say “thuggish” is a better description for issuing vexatious defamation proceedings as a point of principle because you didn’t get the apology you demanded.

I’d say “thuggish” is telling MPs to “man up”.

I’d say “thuggish” is jumping in a comment thread to take swings at MPs when that thread has nothing at all to do with what you want to rave about.

  7. Inverness says:

    Sorry Tim for offending you.
Perhaps instead of thuggish , i should have said childish , because thats what their behavior is.

  8. Anne says:

I think you will find, in due course, that the childish behaviour is coming from Judith Collins.

She was not defamed. She is simply covering up her part in the release of Bronwyn Pullar’s personal ACC information by attempting to transfer attention to Mallard and Little. In other words, it’s bluster and a silly political game she is playing. She won’t win.

I’ll lay a bet with you Inverness: the case will never make it to court!
