bill english funds bryce edwards

Posted by Trevor Mallard on September 23rd, 2011

Interesting disclosure from David Farrar yesterday. He, along with Matthew Hooton, and (waste of members money) PSA are bankrolling Bryce Edwards, one of the few remaining supporters of the Alliance, to provide the political commentary which mainly attacks Labour and the Greens from the looney left. The guy makes Margaret Mutu look like a well balanced academic.

As we all know the majority of Farrar’s income comes from the taxpayer via a “research” arrangement.

I wonder if Bill English signed the deal off or whether it was just a nod and a wink.

Well no-one else will say it if he doesn’t Kate.

  2. Matthew Hooton says:

Inventory2: I think it was Julian Robertson. I’m pretty sure he was also a close friend of Helen Clark and gave money to the Labour Party. But in the bizarre Sybil ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sybil_(1976_film) ) world in which Trevor and Helen live, he was a good decent philanthropist when he gave money to the Labour Party but an “American bagman” when he gave money to the National Party.

“leftie nutters like you” – your immaturity is only matched by the size of your ego that everyone should know the particular form of Matthew you were christened with (no I didn’t. scroll back up to double-check). I realise now that your sensitivity is such that I could have saved you a pulsating blood vessel in your forehead had I done so. Who’da thought!?! You and Trevor are the living epitome of pots calling the kettle black. I see you further strengthen this conclusion by referring to Trevor and Helen as having multiple personality disorder, something equally applied to some politicians and advisors from the other side of the spectrum. I trust you have some Chux handy to wipe the spittle from your screen as you type?

You chose to comment here, I ought not have to follow your links, posturing and self engrandising to get a reasonable answer.

No one pays me, which may make me more stupid than you simply because you have taken the time and effort to convince people to part with money for your drivel/opinions. All power to you. I make my money honestly (wink) as a lawyer (joke) Not realising that ““Exceltium Ltd – New Zealand’s most successful corporate and public affairs consultancy” is you, I am now surprised you chose not to offer an explanation of the measure of “successful” in the context of that statement? Horses mouth and all that.

Thanks for your reply David, much appreciated.

I think its probably quite important that the PSA it not party political and when a member I found it was excellent value for the fortnightly sub. I can’t tell from the context whether you believe that to be generally the case or just in this instance.

  5. Matthew Hooton says:

Tracey mate, its the surname that irritates me

  6. Trevor Mallard says:

    Nerves struck clearly. Hypersensitive chappies.

  7. Anne says:

    Got ya TM. :D

  8. ghostwhowalksnz says:

My my… the PR parrots Hooton and Farrago do squawk a lot when their tail feathers are pulled.

Its just a matter of having the right crackers to give to them and you’ll get exactly the words you want to hear.

A check of the respective industry associations PRINZ and MRSNZ finds neither of our parrots organisations meet the standard or prefer to work outside the ethical codes required of their colleagues.

    How interesting

  9. Frontrower says:

Can’t see how Chris Trotter’s nerves are struck by this.

  10. Mark says:

nine week ban for trolling. Trevor

  11. Trevor, you used to be an asset (of sorts) to the Labour Party. Today’s efforts make you a liability.

Why on earth are you standing for re-election?

  12. Jimbob says:

    Deleted. Offensive. Warning. Clare

  13. Ross says:

You are on a warning. Clare

  14. ghostwhowalksnz says:

Chris , its better to stand for election than stand around Catherine Judds ACT party friday night soirees.

Like Snow White you seem to have ‘drifted’

  15. I stood next to member of the National Front at a railway station once, too, GWWNZ.

I guess that makes me a Nazi.

  16. ghostwhowalksnz says:

Yes but did you drink their wine ?. Accepting an invitation to their meetings and having a convivial time does raise it up quite a notch
So Trev takes a swipe at a couple of PR parrots and a left wing academic and that makes him unfit to stand for labour- sounds just the thing for the waitakere man voter you said labour had lost touch with.
If Trev had asked me, I would have said drag them through the streets by their ankles.

  17. Awaroa Partners invited many journalists and politicians to be guest speakers at their “Friday night soirees” – including Labour Party MPs.

And, rest assured, GWWNZ, at no time was I in any danger.

There’s a big difference between a good Pinot Noir and Kool-Aid.

  18. ghostwhowalksnz says:

Good to know Chris that you were there to mock them.

You must have drunk all their Pinot as ACT MPs were left only with the kool aid ?
