Someone had to do it…

Posted by on December 24th, 2010

It’s not my favourite Xmas song by any means but it is wonderfully camp and unlike the ‘timeless’ classics this one is unashamedly trapped in the 80s.  George Michael’s coif alone is worthy of mention.

Although I wish I could tell the woman in the very orange parka to stop torturing herself coz she’s seriously barking up the wrong tree….

Oh god Moana. Eeerk. Thanks. I had hair a bit like that once. No comments please. Admire George. Can’t say I’m a fan. I was more of a punk.

I think the woman in the parka was Michael Jackson.

I like this song – brings the 80s to life – currently listening to Bandaid xmas song – including the updated vs they did – brilliant – up there with Grandma got run over by a reindeer and boney m. (I know, sad)

The literal version (where they sing what’s going on in the video) is genius. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=213888359827

Clare – even scarier, I had hair like that once also – and I’m a guy. Ah the 1980s…

Clare – given your love of punk, surprised you haven’t posted

Marcus and Annie Happy Xmas. Don’t think the Sex Pistols did Xmas that well. Their eulogies to great birthdays were closer to home (for them)

To be fair I think George had a few practise runs before deciding he liked the blokes.

  8. Tigger says:

CK – so that makes him less gay? Why make that remark unless it had some buried homophobia?

  9. Larry says:

To make fun of a politician she doesn’t like? Carter-esque screaming of homophobia as an all purpose defense is like Spike Lee-esque screaming of racism.

Since when were we not allowed to make fun of people for being what they are? (well, I know when, 1999, when Clark came in) So what if he’s gay, people make fun of the straight white male all the time. We should be able to make fun of everyone if you lefties want your “equality”.

  10. Tracey says:

He always liked blokes, the women were the mask.

  11. Tracey says:

Larry, I look forward to your posts of jokes about white middle aged men.
