Follow the money – and find Wong

Posted by on November 24th, 2010

Not unusual for John Key and Pansy Wong to eat with large groups of  Chinese people in Bellamys.

Pansy collected these and many other cheques which were assumed to going to the National Party – we thought they were being laundered through the Waitemata or other National Party controlled trusts.

But now we know that in fact the money has been paid into an account controlled by Pansy and Sammy Wong.

No wonder Key doesn’t want her to resign – he wants to collect the money variously decribed as hundreds of thousands and well over a million.

Whether this is a smoking gun or a blunt instrument of doom, Wong-gate is not going away John.

Keep up the good work, Trevor.

  2. ianmac says:

Talk about spiking the curiosity! There must be more to this. Bellamys. Cheques (trackable). Separate accounts. Missing woman. Party Funding. Wot?

  3. Ian says:

I hope you have the documents Trevor, before Monty and his mob descend

  4. Gary Jones says:

I’m trying not to be surprised here.
But I almost sprayed coffee all over my screen !

  5. tracey says:

I will bite, it seems to me that Trevor would NEVER write this unless the blog had been hacked and someone assumed his name OR he has the proof.

  6. Sean says:

    To quote Trevor:

But now we know that in fact the money has been paid into an account controlled by Pansy and Sammy Wong.

That is a definite phrase. Tracey’s right, Trevor is sure of himself to write this. This story just keeps unwinding.

  7. jabba says:

is getting money from the Chinese community illegal or immoral??

  8. tracey says:

Did anyone say it was jabba?

  9. Cactus Kate says:

No more so jabba than getting it from Unions or through the poor Island communities in return for favours and having their own people selected ahead of more worthy candiddates.

  10. Michael says:

Jabba, I think the point is not where it comes from but where it is going – that he is alleging the money goes to an account controlled by an MP and her husband.
Also he is bringing in the whole claimed raison d’etre of the trusts used by the National Party; that they are a good thing as they separate the MPs from knowledge about who is giving money and how much.

  11. Red under the Bed says:

Trevor, I say since you posted I say you must have some hard facts or something to back up your claim. You might be on to something.

I wonder thou if these Chinese people are the representing special interest back in main land china! So NZ citizen but doing some one else bidding? I shouldn’t spectacle but I wonder.

Its just like the Lincoln bedroom affair for Clinton ( no not what you are thinking) where there was cash for your sleep over.

Has Key been eating ” Dim Sums for Dollars” in the Parliamentary dining room ?

  13. Spud says:

  14. reid says:

Crikey Trevor, so Asians have lots of money that they want to give to the govt of the day.

Didn’t Labour have someone called I think something like Glenn who wanted to do the same thing, and what did YOU do?

  15. Spud says:

    I don’t make tasteless comments! 8O

  16. Trevor Mallard says:

@ reid – declared and banked in Labour’s accounts.

  17. reid says:

  18. The Frontrower says:

    Proof?

  19. ghostwhowalksnz says:

    Frontrower wants proof?

The details were in last Fridays NBR.

Parties raise money of course but Pansy made it an industry.
was she charging $1000 per head for a dozen people to have Lunch on the taxpayer with Comrade John-Kee?

  20. Berliner says:

Trying paying $3000 at an “auction” to get a $1 cheque from John Key.

  21. Tracey says:

  22. Spud says:

I mean it Trev, I don’t want the same mod word on my innocent comment as the other person as I have shown respect.

  23. Ryansway says:

    What a farce.

John Key has her hidden behind the great wall of China while Nationals spin doctors are working her over to get the story straight.

The duration suggests they have a lot to straighten up but he can’t keep her in hiding forever.

What are the odds on i-predict that Womens Day are stalking her for a Fugitive exclusive Xmas spread?

  24. Colonial Viper says:

Did you just get a Speights upgrade Spud :D
