    WTF? 8O

    33. Shearer, David – Continental Shelf (Oil Exploration Safety) Amendment Bill – Come on 33 :-D !

  2. Ian says:

Might seem a generalisation, but those that deal with equity, fairness, etc are all firmly from centre left parties (e.g. no’s 12, 20, 24), whiist the ‘business’ and punitive are from the right (no’s 32 & 37)

  3. Idiot/Savant says:

Depleted Uranium (Prohibition) Bill (Phil Twyford)
Smoke-free Environments (Removing Tobacco Displays) Amendment Bill (Iain Lees-Galloway)
Environment Canterbury (Democracy Restoration) Amendment Bill (Brendon Burns)
Gambling (Gambling Harm Reduction) Amendment Bill (Te Ururoa Flavell)

  4. sideoiler says:

  5. Spud says:

    8O 36 Twyford Won! Yee haa! :-D :-D :-D !!!!!!!!!!

  6. What are the details of number 5..?

I like 20, a good stab at Joyce, Hughes is a crafty one…

Number 23 will have some people excited…

    38 is a good idea…

  7. Red under the Bed says:

I say number 3 and 8 seem pretty important.
    Jobs and Democracy… :)

  8. Number 3 is a no-brainer and number 8 sounds good (who is anti-jobs?) but without knowing what it is about it’s hard to get excited about…

  9. Phil Lyth says:

Jeremy, Red, Idiot Savant blogs extensively about Members Bills in the ballot: see http://norightturn.blogspot.com/search/label/Members%20Bills and also an index page at http://norightturn.blogspot.com/2006/02/in-ballot-index.html

Clare Curran has blogged here on Red Alert about her Kiwi Jobs bill: http://blog.labour.org.nz/index.php/2010/07/14/controlling-our-own-future-kiwi-jobs-bill/

  10. Monty says:

3 out of 4 will not get past the first stage. Maybe the gambling amendment will progress.

  11. AndyT says:

Am pleased the organ donor assistance bill is there. Something i’ve been campaigning for (amongst other organ donor issues) for near on 9 years.
I hope you all will pass the first reading to select committee (when of course if/when it is drawn)
