The SFO chief mightn’t have intended to but his switch from denial to no comment nailed Judith Collins who btw is the only Cabinet Minister I have ever seen who talks without her cheeks moving.
Mr Feeley said there was “no briefing to Cabinet” by his office and he knew nothing about suggestions that there had been. “I don’t have a preliminary report myself. I don’t see how we can provide a briefing on a report which doesn’t exist.”
But he refused to comment on whether the SFO had briefed individual ministers, including SFO Minister Judith Collins.

Nothing wrong with briefing a minister , trouble is that ‘loose lips sink ships’ and she has blabbed to the media.
The scandal is shes supposed to keep confidential information….. confidential.
But of course leaking it embarrasses her enemy Power, so that makes it two scandals Personal divisions rife in Key cabinet!!

How can you do post like this when Goff leaked MFAT notes regarding Don Brash’s ‘gone by lunchtime’ conversation with a US Senate delegation regarding New Zealand’s anti-nuclear policy – Think of the damage that could have done to NZ – US relations.

This is a major scandal, as this sort of thing about investigative agencies is very very closely held, on a need to know.
And yet we have a minister of police putting her personal agenda ahead of the public interest to sabotage her cabinet rival.
Well I guess that goes as a normal thing in the ‘Keystone Kabinet’

I think the scandal is the government robbed Hubbard of $550,000,000 (you know this one that supposedly supports free private enterprise) and only an idiot couldn’t see that he was as honest as the day is long…

Bernie was found out at least three to four years before the SEC collared him; observers in the industry already noted that the performance of the Madoff fund was impossible and told the SEC such…and they took NO ACTION FOR YEARS.
