Whose going into Cabinet? II

Posted by Trevor Mallard on February 28th, 2010

Seems to be firming up on Nathan Guy.

Some discussion of Amy Adams getting the out of Cabinet role. Key getting worried about performance of most of the women ministers.

Something to consider since the circus needs a few more acts to fill in its half time show this year. :-D

  2. ranter says:

Who’s – who is. Not whose.

You might want to fix that before your next attack on National Standards.

I know I’m being a grammar Nazi but you are supposed to be the Education spokesperson.

  3. jarbury says:

    Whose or “who’s” Trev? :P

  4. Doug says:

Trev a past minister of education should sit the new School Standards.

  5. Jeremy M Harris says:

It’ll be Guy, he’s a farmer and the Nats have been picking big business before farmers a bit so far…

Giving them another Cabinat minister and stealing Canterbury’s water should keep em happy…

Tolley, Bennett and Wilkinson are like cartoon characters. I love Bennett’s youtube posts. She tries to be so caring and encouraging and lovely and hopeful, then in mainstream media is like a zombified jenny shipley – fantastic stuff. Give us more, Paula – you’re brilliant.

Saw Amy Adams on TV3 last night, in “Charlie Wilson’s War”. She’s lovely.

Disappointed to hear she’s a Nat.

  8. Fredrick IV says:

If John Carter is seen to do a good job with the tsunami it could boast his chances.

  9. AJ says:

As an unwilling constituent of Amy Adams, I can say that she’s kept her nose clean and her lipstick tidy and is making a very good impression locally. People here certainly expect her to do well. Then again, Selwyn voters would elect a monkey to Parliament as long as it had a blue rosette on.

  10. Janet says:

Problem with the women in the National party is that all the really ace ones keep getting sidelined & marginalised for daring to disagree with their party.

  11. Spud says:

@AJ – you know that circus could actually use a monkey, it can hand out snacks during half time. :-D

  12. James says:

    27 Ministers.
    19 Male
    8 Female.

Of course its going to look like there are more unsuccessful and weak female Ministers, although the ratios themselves could be quite proportional.

What makes you think that “Seems to be firming up on Nathan Guy”. Am struggling to find an article or press release or anything to that affect.

AMY ADAMS!?!?! urgh, what is Ministerial Coming to? I think I’d probably prefer Simon Bridges over that woman?!?!

  13. Amy Adams is not lovely! I was at the Backbencher once and heard her and Todd McClay using extremely vulgar language in relation to Stuart Nash. Before that I had a certain amount of respect for all MP’s, even National ones. However after that event my view of our elected representatives changed. All thanks to this so called ‘lovely’ person, Amy Adams.

It will be no surprise if Nathan Guy gets into cabinet. Hes not much of a threat though.

  14. Jeremy says:

    Amy who?

  15. Tracey says:

most in the Nat party mechanism will be thrilled with the women failing, they will be privately using them as an example of why there is no need to have more women in the party…let alone Maori, polynesian… and so on…

  16. Mark says:

Don’t worry about the grammer nit-pickers Trev, after all the message is more important then how it’s delivered…

    ;)

  17. Spud says:

No, you’ve got it all wrong, Trevor doesn’t make mistakes.
:-D Whose is an acronym for Which Hack Or Sick Electee’s going into Cabinet? II :-D

See, you all fell for the spelling mistake trick…

  18. Anton Craig says:

That nat guy’s become popular because he sits behind john boy so we’re constantly getting to see him on the tele – probably as much as he’s capable of.
