– Well people with that opinion are in the minority, which is why emoticons are available in emails etc. I can understand where they’re coming from, but I really wish you’d give them a chance, Banksie. I got really excited when Marayn Street used one this morning. 
They aren’t redundant to us users, they enhance the text because it makes up for not being able to see the faces of the writer. I don’t doubt your or anyone else’s ability to comprehend.
Seriously, give them a chance, they are a lot of fun.
Did I catch a glimpse of Double Dipton donating a few cans of creamed corn to the city mission on Breakfast TV this morning? He’s got balls, alright. Not sure about the brains, though.
To be fair, those tins of food are more than he has done for most NZers – except himself, of course. Shame the people in in Dipton won’t get to enjoy the budget peach slices.
@Jennifer – first cream the taxpayers, then donate a few cans of creamed corn (verify he paid for them or he was just handing them out?) ?
