Well today’s the day for Trevor. He’s written about it enough, now he has to do it. 160km cycle challenge in Taupo. He’s up against it.
Firstly, there’s no Nikki Kaye to pitch himself against. Secondly, he’s probably still jetlagged. And thirdly he’s a bit sick.
Still, he’s Trev. And he’s no quitter. And we’re all there behind you. Just remember that when you’re riding up those big hills and tell yourself your body is a machine.
Oh, and can we get pictures?
GO TREVOR!!!!
Sub 5 Trev!!
Goodluck Trev
You can do it, make us proud!
Lets hope the clean air of Taupo will blow the theories of the London education eggheads out of his mind.
Go Trevor
Since you mentioned Nikki Kaye I wanted to mention that she did herself proud on 7 Days’ Yes Minister segment last night. Despite being wheelchair-bound and fending off an unworthy remark about blondes the MP with two first names held off the yes/no questions for several minutes. Much longer than some of us would in similar conditions. She proved to be quick on her feet. More kudos to her for rising to the challenge.
Let’s give Trev a rev, roar
Camden – your post is reminiscent of one on the Nat blog that praised Nikki for turning up to a meeting in a cast. No offence to Nikki but ‘rah rah’ing her for simply doing her job isn’t exactly a huge endorsement of her.
I liked part part where he said she was quick on her feet and she rose to the occasion
I’m not joining in the criticism of you praising her, I just think it’s funny cos she’s wheelchair bound.
And good luck Trevor!
I do a bit of cycling and anything sub 6 hours is pretty good…
