English docs the A-G will consider I – pay the money here.

Posted by Trevor Mallard on September 27th, 2009

I intend to provide links to a series of the English housing documents. On their own the don’t amount to knock out victories but they sure build a picture. The first  shows that the trust was not arms length from English in that he was instructing Ministerial Services on mattters as detailed as to which account to pay money. More tomorrow.

Lets be clear. If I told you to deposit money into a particular account you would do so even if I haven’t proved that the account and source were legitimately connected? Must try that!

I suppose that the two Anne’s might be blamed for misunderstanding the instructions? “The women got it wrong damn it!”

You try getting a benefit payed into a different account
A special 3 page form backed up by bank proof of details

  3. thomas says:

  4. Spud says:

A quick question for you Mr Mallard.

Given that you have made up your mind on this issue, what will your reaction be if the deputy Auditor-General comes up with a different finding to your own? Will you accept the deputy Auditor-General’s ruling, or will you accuse her of partisanship?

It puzzles me that now the matter is before the OAG Labour doesn’t just wait for the ruling, if you are so certain of your case.

Good that you have worked out her gender Tim – says a bit about your other comments that you hadn’t contemplated the possibility. I’ve worked closely with Lyn Provost, she will not be partisan.

Remember though she rules on the legal and not the ethical situation – whatever her decision – Key is left with a Minister of Finance without the moral authority to restrain expenditure.

Politically better for Labour if he stays. Better for the country if he goes. Big call for Key.
