This is second hand but I’ve been told Sir Kerry Burke has lost the chair of Environment Canterbury, to be replaced by former Nat MP Alec Neill. Checking sources but if true, is in part the result of a complaint I took to the Auditor General about three Ecan councillors who have farm water permits who voted in June against part charging of farms for water management. Auditor General’s advice to them, sought by Burke and obtained by me under OIA, was that they were “prohobited” from voting. He has now issued a “please explain” letter to these councillors…
Gotta protect that water!
