English and the patient pete

Posted by on September 17th, 2009

This story will last as long as English is a Minister.  It is moving along from yesterday’s post. Audrey Young  has picked it up, Vernon Small continues to understand it while the Standard has the best summary.

Update :- TVNZ and TV3 both covered – resulting in language from English that made Tau Henare seem polite.

sounds like you and Tau don’t hit it off anymore Trevor

It would be interesting to know if any of the recipients of Bill English’s phone abuse were actually caught on tape. No wonder Key is getting exercised enough about it to start bullying Labour into silence.

Correction: it would be interesting to know if any of the recipients of English’s phonecalls managed to capture the abuse on tape…

@ jabba – Tau and I mainly work pretty well together – some similar views – he is good on select committee – works a bit harder than he pretends to and much harder than some of his colleagues.

here’s a freebie for you regarding Bill and his little problem. I’m sure you have heard of Pink Floyd .. I think the song is RUN .. has words like:
“hanging on in quiet desperation is the ENGLISH way, the time has come, the song is over, nows there’s nothing left to say .. run rabbit run”
may have it wrong but it goes something like that.

    “Billet” English.

    Or, alternatively, “Bill-it” English.
