This is awesome- maybe for Part 2 you guys could take the mickey out of the Sorted Mouse?
If you really want to join the opposition, you should join the Greens. They’re perpetually in opposition.
After the Greens’ agreement with the Government, we are the only REAL Opposition. But only for the next two and a half years.
Ah come on Phil don’t pick on the Greens. Their deal with National has led to the only decent things the government has done so far.
While it hurts my heart to see the Green Party and National do anything much together, it’s the only hope I have for the government to come up with any half-decent ideas in the next couple of years. So I’m grateful to the MOU for that reason alone.
Aren’t they great – those young ones……….
Good stuff guys and gals!
And nice one Pete.

Really good!
Serious question – dosnt that video infringing on Kiwibank’s copyright, I thought there was no exemption for satire and whatnot in NZ copyright laws.
Fantastic Dunedin YL. Otago Uni produces some real talent.
jarbury yesterday – do you really think the Nacts wouldn’t have done their pale imitation insulation thing anyway. All that happened was that the Greens gave what is a pretty pathetic and very slow scheme some credibility.
and well done guys – the penguin and blowhole sites are really wound up.

Trevor, you shouldn’t be so mean to Whale. [edited...tone acceptable on many blogs but not on Red Alert. - Phil]
Quite possibly not. After all they did (in a moment of madness one suspects) cancel Labour’s insulation package.
@jarbury was that the “pretty pathetic and very slow scheme” that the Greens managed to wring out of the Labour government?
I don’t really know the details of how the two packages differ from each other.
However, regardless of that National cancelled Labour’s scheme and only came up with their own scheme after (I suspect) the Green Party sat down with them and told them what a no-brainer it was.
I guess we’ll never know whether we would have had any home-insluation package if it hadn’t been for the National-Greens MoU.
