Gallery Gossip Lee No Show

Posted by Trevor Mallard on May 14th, 2009

I hear from the gallery that Melissa Lee on John Key’s instructions is no longer giving interviews. We will see on TV tonight if the gossip is true. Four days is a long time in politics – she has gone from wonderwoman to someone whose list placing will drop next election.

Haha – a candidate in a high profile by-election not allowed to give interviews? Stay classy National!

  2. gabriel says:

The train-wreck that is this National government just gets more and more hilarious.

mmm gabriel, its gonna warm winter up for me, like fast muscle twitching my chortling is saving on firewood and diminishing my carbon footprint. Nactsmurraygreens are good for the environment!

I’d love it if someone got up during question time and asked a question about motorways reducing crime:

To the Minister of Transport: “Is he aware of any reports about the effect of motorway construction on crime?”

    or perhaps this:

“Will the construction of the motorway reduce crime in the Mount Albert electorate?”

  5. Trevor Mallard says:

Might have to be to the Minister of Police – but good idea. See Annette’s blog on this site.

  6. nibbler says:

Is this the same Annette that made the famous comments relating to crime and the lunar cycle – seems batty ideas aren’t confined to the Nats ranks …………. are you chaps in parliament running a book on who can come up with the silliest public statement if so can the public grab some of the action ?

  7. Trevor Mallard says:

One only has to run an electorate office to know that there is a relationship there.

  8. Alan says:

Melissa sounds as rational as Pansy on issues of crime and Asians. The same fear of South Auckland criminals fueled the NACT campaign in Botany. Racism is alive and well and living in the NACT supporters’ minds.

  9. theresaj says:

There is a centuries old association between the full moon , crime , madness and psych hospital admissions. I couldn’t believe the ignorance of the Nats over this. Where do they think the word lunatic comes from?
